Specialist in Periodontics Because he likes science and working with his hands, Dorel Onea decided to go into dentistry. He graduated as a periodontist from the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry. Since then, he has achieved a prestigious Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology for his outstanding work on gum disease. In his spare time, he does volunteer dentistry, nature photography, skiing and kayaking. Dr. Onea is a member of the: *American Academy of Periodontology, *California Periodontal Society, *American Dental Association, *California Dental Association, and *Sacramento District Dental Society.

 

   

Specialist in Periodontics Dr. John Lewis became interested in dentistry while doing his master's thesis on bone development and healing. After graduating with a master's degree, he went to the University of Pittsburgh to study dental medicine. He did his graduate periodontal training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Lewis has since achieved a prestigious Diplomate status in Periodontology from the American Board of Periodontology for his outstanding work on gum disease. Today, he also is an evaluator and examiner for the Dental Board of California in conscious sedation licensing. He also has acted as a consultant in periodontics to the Veterans Administration, which included lecturing and clinical instructing to the general practice residents. He is a member of the: *American Academy of Periodontology, *American Dental Association, *California Dental Association, and *Sacramento District Dental Society.

Michael Mikitka, DDS Specialist in Prosthodontics Michael Mikitka enjoys dentistry because it allows him to enhance his patient's general health and well-being by treating their gum problems. A prosthodontist, Dr. Mikitka graduated from the University of California Los Angeles Dental School in 1971 and then did graduate work at Boston University. After 20 years of serving as a dental specialist with the U.S. Air Force and Army, he retired in 1997 to go into private practice. He is a member of the: *American College of Prosthodontists, *American Dental Association, *California Dental Association, *Sacramento District Dental Society.
